Last Friday was stake fill the temple day. So we followed our friends the Love's to the Oklahoma City temple. We have come to realize how easy we used to have it living only minutes from many different temples. Our drive was 3 1/2 hours. We decided since this was our first trip to OK city we would spend the night and see all the sights. Mainly the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. It was such a fun day at the temple, then we went to Brick town to eat. The next morning we went to the Art Museum which had some amazing glass art that the kids loved. Then we went to the Memorial and Brick town to eat lunch. We all walked around the Memorial but only Lori and I went into the museum. It was amazing, I know there was not a dry eye in the building. In one part you go into a room and listen to a water hearing that was taking place when the bomb went off. It is very moving.
Caleb took this picture lying on his back looking up towards the glass sculpture.
Josiah took this photo. This was his favorite display.
This is a sculpture of a pond.
Lori, Cali and Lydia at the Bourbon Street Cafe in Brick town. Here we ate New Orleans food right next to the water. Brick town is so cool. It is all restored buildings with shopping and restaurants. There is a water way that goes right through it, and you can take a water taxi down.
Scates family over looking the water way.
